Description
In San José, one of the most visited municipalities on the island, you can find a very small beach called Cala Llentia. It is very pretty, but difficult to access. This is very famous due to a series of large sculptures which are known as Los Dólmenes or Ibizan 'Stonehenge' located on one of its cliffs.
The artistic structures are the work of the famous Australian sculptor Andrew Rogers, but they were sponsored by billionaire Guy Laliberté, who has a mansion very close to the area.
The work is made up of 12 basalt dolmens full of engravings that the artist carved on site. These surround a central pilar which is 24 meters high and has a gold leaf plate at its tip.
These dolmens are part of a collection by the Australian artist and are called 'Rhytms of Life', consisting of 50 mega monuments that are scattered in locations around the world and Ibiza is one of these.
